  1. This may be way too obvious, but Bremer's post gam comments will center on the Twins splitting this 4 game set, if we lose. While he may be correct, to some extent, The Twins could have done better. As long as these guys accept mediocrity, we'll never have the edge in close games or in the playolffs.
  2. True. But a team fighting for ticket revenue ( I presumea) could have chosen another day. How about Wednesdays? They have a lot of day games scheduled (getaway day) and a lot of Thursday off days. That scenarios provides possibly even more time off. Sundays off is not the only scenario.
  3. I remember when I was kid, I came to stay a few days with my brother and his family. We had box seats and it was going to be a rush to get to the Met before the game started. I was already disappointed missing batting practice and infield. Game started despite a light rain. No Killebrew in the starting lineup. This was not turning out to be a great time. Game goes on, we're p[laying Oakland and we're down 2-1, bottom of the ninth. All of a sudden Killebrew , appears on the on deck circle. Fans are going nuts, and the stadium is shaking. Like 2 or 3 pitches later, Killer hits a walkoff 2 run homer. What a GREAT TIME!!!!!!!
  4. for now. Very small samp;le size, so far. But, still hopeful.
  5. Mauer had a lot of Sundays off. I always thought, that the Twins being thought of as a 'regional team", it was unfair to those people who traveled on the weekends not to be ablr to see him play. A lot of rural people, with limited funds, were very disappointed.
  6. Twins sans Pagan, now count on Sands.
  7. Boy, this really clogs the toilet. At least, at first impression. Gordon going to warm up?
  8. I think Perk needs to listen to some of the interviews by Vin Scully. I think he could benefit if he took on Scully's method of knowing when to be quiet and let the crowd noise tell the story. Unless, Perk is getting paid by the word.
  9. Only if you're referring to someone's blood pressure.
  10. Mr. Pagan is now on center stage.
  11. Is Archer better suited as a set-up man. a situation where he can let it all out for 2 or less innings? Just spitballing.
  12. Line drive wake-up call for Gordon. God, his facial expression just shows how much his confidence has grown.
  13. I've always hated when a runner takes a base and they say, it doesn't matter. Anytime you remove a defensive force possibility at a particular base, I would care. Multiple scenarios where a defender could field a ball, not be able to make a good throw to first and not have the option (fileder's choice) at second.
  14. Well, it's Super Mario, coming in for the ninth.
  15. If the Twins hang on, they're going to do some celebrating. Ice cold bud light, Jeno pizza rolls and a cornhole tournament, will be on tap.
  16. pitches, batters, outs? Not innings.
  17. Tomorrow's bullpen is going to look like a bunch of dirty rags hanging from a clothesline.
  18. First time I can remember someone getting yanked before complete implosion.
  19. Do you think Lopez is on Rocco's radar? 30 pitches last night?
  20. sharp single, walk, no outs.................Jax warming up to implode, here. Yank him, now!
