  1. I agree with this and also want to add that they overstuffed other areas also. Depth is what kept these guys in it all year. Once guys started getting healthy for the playoffs, they had a pile to choose from. Pitching wins, flat out. Keep that area of the team as your strength and you will always have a chance.
  2. 2 years with 3rd year team option is the most I would go. He won't take that, but I don't want 35 + year old pitchers around here anymore. I like Sonny and think having him here for 2 years would be great BTW, just don't think it will happen. If he balks at that kind of deal, then offer QO and get your draft pick. Keep doing what you have been, lock up the young guys through primes, then develop or trade for the rest of your roster. Fill up on guys that throw hard. Keep away from dumpster dives(did a good job with that too this past offseason)
  3. Either way, it's a plus. He was hurting us on both sides of the ball.
  4. Yes, I am sure there is some sort of "prove it" process in order for MLB to approve this.
  5. Twins Twitter now also reporting this.
  6. Who cares, he is only going to be a bench player. Kiriloff was not going to see another inning either way.
  7. Kiriloff to IL, Buxton to active roster. Breaking news, per common man KFAN, etc
  8. It isn't just that play, he has flat out been unwilling to dive to stop balls since the playoffs started. Cannot do that, it is life and limb time when it gets to October. I don't want him at 1st base anymore during the postseason. Give him an at bat here or there as a PH, but to me, he is done starting.
  9. Sonny has freakin battled back here. Score him some runs boys. And Rocco, leave him in please.
  10. Julien pulling the old Joe Mauer and works a walk. His at bats remind me of Joe.
  11. Not sure why, he threw the same pitch like 4 times in a row...
  12. Even that one. Granted, it was a TOUGH play, but dive and get a damn glove on it.
  13. The shadows will go away, they will bring in a reliever, we will bring in different hitters. It is still early.
  14. Wallner too. Both were awesome at points of the regular season, but both have been really bad in the field and at the plate in the playoffs. Come on boys, pick it up!
  15. There is nothing to waste. He won't pitch again in this series unless he helps out in game 5, but even that is unlikely. If we are going to pull him, do it because we think we have a chance or don't want it any further. But if we don't, you burn him into the ground today, that BP availability is more important than his the rest of this series.
  16. I hope Sonny can even make it through the order 2x today. Man come on buddy, we need ya.
  17. Damn, maybe should have sent Polanco, I think he would have been in there by a fair amount. I get it though as a 3B coach, down 4 runs.
  18. And just like that it's not again. It's early and this pitcher for them is not very good.
  19. He's had multiple defensive lapses this postseason. I will say it. He isn't a good fielder.
  20. Yep and I'm fine with just 1. This will have a be a comeback, walk off winner type. Let's go, it's early they can still do it.
  21. Well, Kiriloff has been terrible at 1st all series, and hasn't hit, so I'm fine with him on the bench going forward. And now this dinger. Welp, gonna have to really hammer the ball today to have a chance.
