NYM send Mr Bonilla his yearly $1.2 million in deferred compensation today and every July 1st through 2035.  

Any savings the NYM obtained through this deferred compensation deal was almost certainly immediately lost by investing that money with Bernie Madoff back when the Bonilla deal was made.
