Jhomnardo Reyes (18yo Twins Prospect - currently in FL Rookie League)

Don't know much about this kid, but sounds interesting. Just emerging now as a potential high-level prospect. 18 Year old from the Dominican. 

I see he's also listed as the Twins #10 prospect in the recent Fangraphs rankings. Played well in the Dominican summer league last year as a 17yo.

Baseball America did a brief write-up on him today (just sharing the portion that isn't behind their paywall): 

"The Twins knew to expect big power from Jhomnardo Reyes, a 6-foot-4 right fielder who had 20 extra-base hits in 50 games in the Dominican Summer League last year.  

What surprised the Twins is how well Reyes has controlled the strike zone during his U.S. debut in the Rookie-level Florida Complex League. He struck 13 extra-base hits in his first 79 plate appearances, including four home runs, all while reducing his strikeout rate by nearly 10 percentage points.  

Reyes batted .359/.481/.719 through 21 games with 13 walks and 17 strikeouts."
