Josh Bell (one at-bat) has the most experience of anyone against the opposing team's starter tonight. Advantage: pitchers.

Love this from Pat Murphy on MLB Network:

"I want guys thinking they're everyday position players."

Brewers manager Pat Murphy talks about how he views platooning and lineup construction.

Have to feel for the starting pitching. The lineup is littered with not only statistically bad hitters, 4 of them are awful. On top of that we are not a great defensive team. SP has been solid, if the team could hit and field they could be leading the division. If they could. hit or field, one of the two,  above average  they would have 2-3 more wins. Lewis, Outman, Bell Carantini shouldn't be on any MLB roster, much less ours. At least they appear to have moved on from one black hole in the lineup that provided nothing defensively..... looking for more moves in the future. Milwaukee is not afraid to move young talent around, we should be doing it as well.

Caratine has a 22 percent caught stealing rate, 3 wild pitches; Jeffers has a 16 percent caught stealing rate 9 wild pitches.

Maybe we can pull an unlikely surprise like we did in Cleveland. No Buck doesn't help the odds.

If he doesn’t do it I’m going to blame it on the term oppo taco. It should be banned.

Baseball is hard and Royce is not only struggling but looking like he cannot adjust. Is he overmatched versus MLB pitching?

His ABs scream yes.

Fastballs up are eating him up as well as anything spinning on the outside corner. Pretty easy pickings for a decent pitcher.
