Yeah if Royce is missing meatballs like that he needs to go to St. Paul for a while.

Royce was recalled well before he was ready. Drafted #1-1, he can do no wrong. AAA pitchers were totally dominating Lewis much more than the MLB guys are now and his timing, according to Royce himself, was way off. The Twins want Royce up no matter what he does and so he is. Hope he can figure it out.

Witt gonna be sent down ??   LOL

He can get away with it as Pasquantimo and Salvy are more than making up for it

Keirsey Jr. is a good late inning pinch runner and defensive replacement guy. That has value.

So he's marginally useful for 1 maybe 2 innings in a close game at best.

His only claim to fame was a walk off hit if memory serves. Nice but still

This.  You're right that he was not ready to come back from AAA.  The season was teetering on the brink when he was brought back up.  Someone in an earlier thread made the comment that bringing Lewis back at the speed they did was designed to try to sell tickets.  You could go back and watch that as soon as he was recalled from St. Paul that they were advertising ticket sales saying "Royce is back!".

He's a great cheerleader and a popular bobblehead. Maybe by July 4 he'll be a good hitter.
