Yes, I don't want to quote the entire article but Sonny goes on to offer up that he tried to work a deal with the Twins, and that they were upfront with him relaying that their budget wouldn't afford him. Then the qualifying offer was placed.

Given the adventures of the last week, I’m fine with Jax here to get through the top of the order and then hopefully a Blewitt-type in the ninth. It also gives a chance to tack on a couple more before the ninth.

I don’t have access, but someone made reference to that part of the article. I was hoping someone would give more context.
