Jeremy Bonderman, Twins Punching Bag, Starting on Sunday?

Saw that Jeremy Bonderman was the probable starter for the Mariners on Sunday. Really? He hasn't pitched in MLB since 2010. His career stats vs. the Twins:

ERA / WHIP / BAA

8.22 / 1.83 / .349

Current Twins Mauer, Morneau, Doumit are a combined

.271/.392/.441

AVG/OBA/SLG

Yeah, posted my utter shock at this in the game thread last night. I had to do a double take when I saw that.

So...based on today's results with Harang thus far, we should then expect a Bonderman "Quality Start"? How fortunate have the Twins been this year in missing the opposition's ace from series to series?

Thoracic outlet syndrome and Tommy John Surgery aren't things people just bounce back from, but considering before the major surgeries he never had an ERA under 4 for a season is it really, "Twins punching bag?" More like MLB's punching bag.

Of Bonderman's opponents the Twins have the third highest BAA and third highest SLG. If you throw out the Reds, who Bonderman has only faced once, the Twins would be 2nd in the majors in these categories, so yes, he is the Twins' punching bag.
