How frustrating can you imagine it to be for a perceived AAA filler (Clete Thomas) to be crushing the ball in the minors and have hardly any chance at a reward/promotion?

Thomas deserves some time up. He can do everything Ramirez can do, or if Hicks got sent down a couple weeks or a month it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. I understand his upside but a .120 average is what it is so if a guy's killing it in AAA he ought to get a shot. Even if that guy is Clete Thomas.

Not a showstopper, but Thomas is not on the Twins' 40-man roster. If you bring him up, you have to remove someone else and expose him to waivers.
