Nathan Alan Hanson was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 28th Round in the 2008 draft. No stranger to things Minnesotan, Hanson is from Chanhassen, MN, and played baseball for the University of Minnesota.

 

Hanson has three years of service time. He is listed as a 2nd Basemen for the AA New Britain Rock Cats and is currently hitting .277/.364/.340. In 2009, Hanson pitched one inning of scoreless baseball for the Beloit Snappers.

After joining the Red Wings and hitting a home run in his first game against Syracuse, Hanson is hitting .300/.364/.600 in three games. He's walked once and struck out twice in 10 AB.

Hanson collected a couple hits in the Red Wings' series against Buffalo. On May 2nd, he went 2 for 5 against Columbus with a HR and 3 RBIs. He's currently hitting .279/.347.407.

Hanson has hit .265/.297/.588 in his last 10 games at New Britain.

 

On June 9th, he went 3 for 5 with a 2B and HR. Then, on June 15th he went 2 for 3 with a 2B and a HR.

 

His current minor league average is .249/.313/.392.
