No stranger to things Minnesotan, Hanson is from Chanhassen, MN, and played baseball for the University of Minnesota. Hanson has three years of service time. He is listed as a 2nd Basemen for the AA New Britain Rock Cats and is currently hitting .277/.364/.340. In 2009, Hanson pitched one inning of scoreless baseball for the Beloit Snappers.
