Grade the Twins’ signing Carlos Correa

I give the deal a B with a chance at being an A if the Twins add another front of the rotation starter. Having Correa on what could be a one year deal without having the pitching to make the playoffs doesn't make sense. The team needs to add significant pitching to make this deal a success.

A - if one year deal.....means he had a great year and is hitting the open market to look for a long term deal....

B - if a two year deal....means poor play or injury....in yr 1

c - if 3 yr deal...means he did not live up to his contact...and rode it out for the money......

Hoping it's a 1 yr deal and he has a great yr...then goes and signs for 10 yrs somewhere else!

I give it an A- grade for several reasons. He’s a great player who for this year solves the SS problem and adds premier offensive production where they got none last year. It energizes the team and the fan base. It gives the FO a year to see if Martin or Lewis can play SS without rushing either of them. It still doesn’t resolve their biggest issue of getting another solid starter so the signing is an A-. .
