And Coke gets his butt kicked by two of the lightest-hitting middle infielders in baseball. But platoon splits are still for cybermetric dweebs who got a wedgie every day in school...

You're such a geek.

Just for a second I was sure that ball would bounce over the fence and Dozier would get sent back to third. Yet another piece of good fortune. The Twins are due for some. We win! We win!

This is a good day for the Twins, and hopefully a good omen for the balance of the season.

It was fun sharing this victory with you my friends!

Didn't see the game, how did Correia look? Can't complain with 2 runs over 7 IP, we all hate the contract but who knows, if he can eat some innings and have a somewhat respectable ERA maybe he can be a solid #5 guy for us over the next two years. (Or be tradeable)

Great win! Daughter and I screaming with Victory Joy! The Tiggers threw two starters who each are probably making more $$ than our entire starting rotation. Very glad to take a game.

Nice Win. Pleased with Kevin's first outing, seems to be exactly as advertised. The defense stood up behind him except for one or two, minimized damage. Great to see the bench pull through for us.

Correia was great... The Tigers strung a couple of weak singles together for the runs. Nobody tagged him over 7 innings.

Yup. With the Snorg t-shirts, Star Wars action figure collection, and wedgie scars to prove it...

Two games in frigid Target Field. No one has come close to hitting one over the fence (Escobar's was probably the closest) and not much solid contact has been made by anyone. It is deadball-era ball and small mistakes are magnified.

Correia and Worley have looked okay, but the hitters have been poor. I think I'll believe the weather has a lot to do with both situations.

Comment on the ESPN site, apparently advice to Leyland: Don't Do Coke.

Valverde, I believe, is still available...

Yup, save Correia for April and September

According to CBS Sportsline --

The announced attendance was 22,963, the smallest crowd in terms of tickets sold since Target Field opened in 2010.

Let's hope that this is the lowest attendance for this season -- a lot of people missed the opportunity to see a great win.

I agree that Correa is the player of the game, but one guy who deserves mention as offensive player of the last couple of innings is Trevor Plouffe who drew two walks--he scored on one and Carroll scored on the other. Also, you got to love being able to pinch hit Wilkin Ramirez. He was a beast in spring training, and he's going to get a lot of pinch hitting opportunities.

Now, about Correa. 7 innnings is outstanding, and Burton and Perkins looked awesome. On to face the Orioles now.

I think that there is one more game with the Tigers before facing the Orioles.

I'm excited for the Twins to play the Orioles I guess. So, one more against the Tigers. Gardy's guys need to extend the momentum and win the first series of the season against Leyland's club.
