Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 The Twins are rumored to have interest in reliever Todd Coffey. What do you think? He is 35 years old and has career numbers of. I think he can be valuable because the Twins do have a need for a RH bullpen arm, a guy who can get righties out.
Nick Nelson Site Manager Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Hardly dominant, but he should be affordable and he's been extremely durable over the course of his career -- a Matt Guerrier type. He's not at the top of my list, but he'd certainly be a valuable addition to the bullpen.
Parker Hageman Site Manager Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 He is 35 years old and has career numbers of. Actually, he's 31 years old but still his figure doesn't inspire youthfulness. Agree with Nick that he's durable and a serviceable arm to subdue righties. He's had an interesting transition the past two seasons from a ground ball-inducer to a more average one. For my money, I prefer Wheeler but it sounds as if the Twins are not that keen on him.
Twins Daily Admin Verified Member Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I'd love me some Coffey. But at this point, I'd take just about anything. Such are the effects of Stockholm Syndrome.
