FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Not a bad try. Now at least Garver has seen some pitches and will have a fresh at-bat.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Dick says that Cleveland has lost its challenge but it depends on what they were challenging. If they were challenging the fair/foul call they lose it but if they were challenging that it should have been called a double then they don't lose it. I don't think Dicknroy ever confirmed which call was being challenged. And on a related matter I have said before that I think the challenge rule should be modified. Overturning the call on the field should not require clear evidence to the contrary. Instead, I think the reviewers should NOT know the call on the field. The reviewers should rule safe, out, or inconclusive. (Or, as in this case, fair, foul, or inconclusive.) The call on the field stands only if the reviewers rule inconclusive.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Author Posted August 2, 2020 Gets a 2nd chance next inning. Our run game is almost as good as our walk game.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Author Posted August 2, 2020 Right field foul line has been good to the Twins.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Baseball Reference says that Clippard used to pitch for the Yankees. Does that make him the Yankee Clippard? Can he play centerfield?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 2 clean innings from Clippard...I'll take that
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Do the opener stats count towards the bullpen's, starter's, or own stats?

Diesel Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Even if there are a 100 fair balls that should have been foul for the Twins I still don’t think it would make up for Joe’s in the playoffs....

FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Smeltzer makes me nervous. I don't know if his stuff translates to the big leagues. Hope I'm wrong...
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 The Twins have 2 runs with 0 LOB. Wonder what is the most runs scored by a team with 0 LOB.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Smeltzer with a perfect 3rd on 9 pitches..me gusta.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 If Bauer were still pitching for Cleveland, both those Kepler at bats would have been outa there
