Tom Froemming Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 Here are some highlights of Trevor Larnach. He's a big, strong guy who has a very up the middle approach at the plate. This includes him legging out a triple and taking advantage on a misplayed ball to advance to second on a single, so you can also get an idea of his speed/athleticism, which I think is pretty good for a guy his size. Larnach is hitting .316/.382/.459 (.842 OPS) for Fort Myers so far this year. That's very good for the FSL, but he's not shown nearly as much power as Rooker (.552 SLG) or Kirilloff (.550 SLG) did there. Larnach does strikeout a lot less than Rooker and walks a lot more than Kirilloff. I expect he'll be a guy a lot of teams ask about as we approach the trade deadline.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 His swing looks really good. I think he could be a pretty good hitter where we always complain about the lack of home runs. We love those guys. :-)
