For all of eddies overeager throws to the wrong bases, the time he finally has a chance to actually throw someone out, he throws a total dud.

Get tomorrow's game and get out of town with 3 of 5.

I'm still bitter of those 2 straight 0-2 fastballs, BTW.

Another terrible effort by the pen against another terrible team.

Go make some trades already! Giving up Kintzler was dumb enough, now there is nobody they can count on.

I still believe anything less than 4/5 against this team is a disappointment. The sox are just not very good.

Agree that they really needed that one. I don't even think it matters if you're playing good or bad teams at this point. The way the Angels and Indians are playing, one bad series and the season is over.

I still can't get over that Rosario throw. That was not an overly difficult throw for a good big leaguer to make.

Well I certainly wouldn't expect to win 4/5 against a contender, that's not easy. But this Chicago team has years before it's really competitive. You have to bury teams like this if you want to play in October.

well, i'm remindful of the fact that aroldis chapman recently went through a four-game stretch where he gave up 7 earned runs in 4-1/3 innings. they're men, not machines.

KC and the angels are losing, the Indians lost, but the Yankees and mariners won. Had a chance to gain some ground. Going to be a maddening final month

The trade of Kinsler was the catalyst that started the winning.  Keeping him (and let's not confuse him with Mariano Rivera) as a closer and quite possibly the Twins just continue to spin their wheels with a losing record.

Ok, with the trade, but nothing was in place to fill that void.

I'd be very careful about ascribing streaks to off-field "catalysts" (even some on-field ones too). Streaks start and stop all the time without definable reason, it's just the nature of a game with so many moving parts. Not everything is neatly explainable.

The same would go for saying "the Twins win last night with Kintzler" which may not be true either. Although over the long haul, I think they will be better off with more good players than fewer.

This Polanco kid is ON FIRE....remember when some of you wanted to put him out of his misery?

I'll hold up that mirror..and point it at everyone other than myself. Because I'm dishonest that way. :)
