Cody Stashak - 2017

[Seth Stohs]

The Twins drafted RHP Cody Stashak in the 13th round of the 2015 draft out of St. Johns. He had pitched and hit at Cumberland Country JC for a couple of years before heading to St. Johns for his senior year. 

 

That summer (2015), he went 5-2 with a 3.43 ERA. 

 

In 2016, he spent most of the season in Cedar Rapids where he went 8-5 with a 3.16 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP in 18 games (17 starts). 

 

He moved up to Ft. Myers at the very end of the season and made three starts. He went 2-0 with 0.54 ERA in  16.2 innings.

 

He begins 2017 with the Miracle.

Stashak is now 0-3 with a 3.94 ERA despite a very solid 1.03 WHIP. In 32 innings, he has given up 32 hits, but he's walked just four and struck out 32 batters. 

 

He's made 6 starts and hasn't gone more than six innings three times...

In two starts since returning to the Miracle rotation from the Disabled List, Stashak has been terrific. Two starts, 11 innings, 0 runs allowed.

Stashak threw two scoreless innings on Tuesday in the GCL... It was his first appearance since going on the DL July 25th.
