FormerMinnasotan Provisional Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 So what the hell happened to Berrios? Up until last year and this year his control was quite exceptional, now apparently he forgot what the strike zone is.
Respy Provisional Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Tonkin now pitchingGimenez at catcherLevi Michael and 2ndTrey Vavra at 1st
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Okay, interesting shift for Vargas. Fly out to centeroh Vargas is playing? He'll be with the big league team Opening Day then, I'm assuming. The TD writers gave the impression he was starting on the DL.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 I just realized I have no recollection of where the polar bear came from, or what the point was of Claire's baby, or if WALT! ever showed up again, or what the point of the Island was, and is that also where the Minnow crashed? The show did have some fun moments though if you don't think too hard.
Jerr Verified Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Who's in first (class). What's in second (class) ???

Up until last year and this year his control was quite exceptional, now apparently he forgot what the strike zone is. He might find his control at MLB at some point, but I never understood the scouting reports that said he had good control. Watching videos of him pitching in the minors, he missed his spots and hung lots of off-speed pitches that generally still fooled the minor league hitters. I was expecting him to get banged up when he reached the majors, but not as bad as he did (and especially all the walks). The coaches seem to have pinpointed a major cause of his inconsistency to his rushed delivery and mindset. Hopefully he can keep working at that.

I guess I was expecting some growth this Spring Training since it seemed he was pressing all of last season. Emotionally for Berrios year 2 should be much easier as he has now the knowledge of what he needs to work on to succeed. It stinks too because he won't be pushed by another top pitching prospect as Fernando Romero has an innings limit and is starting in AA, and Stephen Gonsalves is injured and who knows how much he pitches this season, especially if his shoulder injury is worse than originally thought.
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Fun fact: Josh Holloway is on the same flight as me at the moment... You may know him as Sawyer from Lost!Van, I want you to be honest, are you making judgements based on the back of people's head's again?
Oldgoat_MN Verified Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 And I Don't Know, Vananimal is in third (class) ???So... you're saying there isn't a fourth?

And let's be honest: does throwing strikes and lousy pitching correlate somehow with this team? Because Twins pitchers have usually been known for keeping the walks down.
Respy Provisional Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Buxton advanced from 2nd to 3rd on medium fly ball to LEFT field using his "world-class speed." Then scores later on sac fly.

gocgo Verified Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 I'm pulling for Park to go yard in the 9th to break the tie.
Respy Provisional Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 From radio: Goodrum at AAA Rochester will be used as a super-utility type this year. Playing almost every day, but playing at many positions in both the infield and outfield.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 And Jake Reed Ks DanSan
Jerr Verified Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 So... you're saying there isn't a fourth?I don't know and I don't care, but you can ask I Don't Care, as he is the shortstop....ba dump boom !!!
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Vargas is just getting at bats, 10 hitters for the w€ings. Just realized that Vargas was pinch hitting for Granite ... wonder what's up with that?
gocgo Verified Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 I don't know that I've ever seen it before where our AAA squad has more power hitters than our MLB squad. Also, if we tie, does that mean that we have a AAA MLB squad? JKJKJK.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 Nice play there. Lol, and I realize none of you has any inkling on that
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Van, I want you to be honest, are you making judgements based on the back of people's head's again? Most of the time I do, but this time I actually saw his face!
bird Verified Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 And Tonkin got him on what I done know but not anFB Well, let's see Park against some decent AAA pitching. He's been facing some pretty mediocre AAA pitching today.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 Wow, Reed can really throw the heat.
