Jeremy Nygaard Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Buster Olney just tweeted that qualifying offers will be worth $13.3-13.4 million instead of the $12.4-12.5 that was expected. Wow. Liriano might be worth that... over 2 years.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Since neither side even attempted to bring up an extension, I'm guessing neither party has much interest in a reunion.

I thought about doing that, but didn't know how bonuses worked into it... so thought it wouldn't be worth it. Glad someone did the work though.
biggentleben Verified Member Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I've been hearing $13M for most of the season, so that's not surprising to me at this point. I'd imagine a guy like Michael Bourn will get one regardless, but $12M to $13M isn't going to be a big enough jump for most teams to change their mind. If they'd give $12M, I'd assume they'd give $13M.
