I want to see a walk-off hit from Beresford!

Molitor playing for the walkoff sac bunt instead.

Hey, maybe a sac bunt preceding a game winning hit would be a better story for the grandkids?

It would certainly be longer.

Let's go Bux.

Good start, but it needs a two syllable name and some clapping: "Let's go, Buxie! {clap clap clapclapclap}". And maybe some cowbell.

Have it ready when he comes up again in the 12th.

Godaamit stop ****ing bunting. so sick of this weak ass ****. Fire molitor and hire a ****ing real manager who isn't a wuss with no understanding of statistics.

Well, Molitor prevented that.

Well, in fairness to the front office, they did say that late inning run prevention was going to be their focus in the offseason. Looks like they got their man after all.

So, you didn't like the sac bunt? ;)

This strategy of giving up an out is pretty disproven. For example, Sean Dolinar of Fangraphs says that, between 2011 and 2013, there was a 41.13% chance of scoring a run with a runner on first and no outs and a 39.37% - yes, smaller - chance of scoring one run with a runner on second and one out. This is not a theory, or old school vs. new school, or even advanced analytics. Yet for some reason Molitor, despite knowing he has a team of bad bunters, continues to prefer giving up the out.

I'm sensing some dissatisfaction with Molitor when I read between the lines.

Napoli would hit .150 if he didn't get to face the Twins.

Don't forget his 32 homers. Who did he hit the other two against?

It's not even new news, as the numbers have been known (and have remained similar) since the Internet was young.

Found one for adoption.  It's on it's way to your house:

Thanks. I will chop it up and freeze it. Need to figure out some recipes.
