And since food trucks are in the news these days ... there's a food truck around Chicago that serves up the most awesome mini donuts!

Portland actually has a whole area dedicated to food trucks.  The variety of delicious (and relatively inexpensive) food is quite amazing.

yeah ... here, too ... they line up along Wacker Dr over the lunch hour on weekdays ... unfortunately, I don't work close enough, or get enough of a lunch break, to partake

While I'm sure Portland has them in other areas, the one area I got food from, those food trucks are in permanent spots.  A whole square block.

Nice ... there's no place to really do that in the Loop ... and it's not the whole length of Wacker ... just for two blocks ... don't know the rules about that, either, if you have to pay to park there or if it's first come, first serve.

 

There was this cupcake food truck that used to stop in my neighborhood ... not sure where that went, but omg, yum!

 

And funny enough, there's an ice cream truck that comes by in the summer ... with the ice cream truck music and all!

Actually ... I would think the fast food places would be more worried, as that's how I view food trucks ... higher quality fast food. If I want a dining experience, I'll go to a restaurant, but if I want quick, I'm not going to a sit-down place, it's a fast food place or a convenience mart. That's the market for food trucks ... not vs an actual restaurant.
