DrNeau Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Big strikeout, May! 1 down.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Wow Dozier...how do you not get the tag on him?
spinowner Provisional Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I suppose it doesn't hurt to challenge but he's safe.
DrNeau Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Wow Dozier...how do you not get the tag on him?Yeah, need to slap that glove down.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 In before Dave blames Molitor for this inning!
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 That was also my first reaction. Replay looks like it was bounce throw which Dozier had to control first (thanks Hicks) otherwise Dozier slaps the tag down if he gets the throw in the air.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 spoiler alert: Gophers are down 4 to Ohio with under 2 left. CBCFBU.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Routine scoreless 8th for May.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Line drives in gloves are outs, too
spinowner Provisional Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Dick said just what I was thinking. Not clean but good enough.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Line drives in gloves are outs, tooClever of May to let him hit it so hard. That way it carried all the way out to Hunter.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Weird factoid about tonight's game: Bartolo Colon is serving as the Twins batboy.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Weird factoid about tonight's game: Bartolo Colon is serving as the Twins batboy.I noticed!
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Weird factoid about tonight's game: Bartolo Colon is serving as the Twins batboy.I wish Paul Molitor would tell that kid, "Don't worry, we'll whip you into shape." That would be frightening.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Seems like every time I'm paying attention, Escobar takes a crack at a longball once per at bat. Here, slow runner on first and two outs, 1-1 count, I was saying "go for it". I like his apparent approach - it won't result in extra bases every time, but he has just enough power to make it worth trying.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Weird factoid about tonight's game: Bartolo Colon is serving as the Twins batboy.Do road teams bring their own bat boys? I'm assuming it's some local kid, and there's probably some backstory involving his health whereby I felt a little guilty laughing at this observation.

Something a certain highly paid Twins could perhaps consider.

ashbury Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Duffey's curve actually looked better after a hundred pitches. Finally got that thing warmed up. Good outing. Good show by Boyer, too. I've said elsewhere that Boyer looks like a lock to hold a 40-man spot over the winter and likely a 25-man spot coming north next Spring. What I've not been quite brave enough to say is that he might actually be earning such priority by a strong final month or so. His season ERA is a fluke, but his recent appearances have been surprisingly drama free. Last 13 games his WHIP has been under 1.
