Parker Hageman Site Manager Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 On Sunday, Byron Buxton, who is recovering from a finger sprain he suffered on a stolen base attempt with the Twins, hit the Rochester center field wall hard enough to require the training and manager Mike Quade to visit the organization's prized prospect. Buxton was OK and remained in the game to hit a home run and the walk-off winning hit. Despite not suffering any serious injuries in the collision, Buxton decided to take the next game off due to general soreness. As baseball players are wont to do, during batting practice on Monday afternoon his Red Wing teammates decided to re-construct the scene with his uniform: Since returning to Rochester, Buxton is 19-for-47 (.404) with a double, triple and home run.
