Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Meneses, Diaz, and Martinez totally flew under my radar as minor league pickups. Meneses is a bit interesting. Anyway, the org likes Herrmann, clearly.
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 GAME 3!!!!!!! I WILL ALWAYS COUNT IT AS A WIN, ESPECIALLY WHEN BEATING A COLLEGE TEAM WITH MOSTLY CRAPPY PITCHERS PITCHING!

Ah, call that game zero, and you'll be consistent. Just like these threads say "2 replies to this topic" and you are post number 3. (Well, now i'm replying, it'll say something different, but you get the idea, i hope)

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I'm looking forward to seeing what Schafer does. Well, i guess i'm looking forward to seeing what everyone does, so that doesn't mean quite so much...
shs_59 Provisional Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I wonder whose pitching for the Rays first 2 innings? any guesses? I hope its either Archer, Cobb, or Colome, maybe Smyly ? this way twins' hitters will get to see someone with a decent fast-ball

I imagine this early in spring training it is heavily fastballs in general.
youngpadawan Provisional Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 He started 31 games for the Rays last season and K'ed more than 1/inning. 4.13 ERA.
iTwins Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 MLB At Bat app just made me smile. Eddie Rosario doubles Max Kepler doubles (in play, runs) - Eddie Rosario scores The future! It feels so close with updates like that!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 So Odorizzi is pretty good then. But he only pitched 1 inning, probably 'cause he walked two batters. The back to back doubles came off of Andriese. And... Darnell got himself a pick off! Seems like Molitor's attention to details there might be paying off. Or just the runners aren't up to speed yet? Things are going well for the Twins so far.
BK432 Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Rays radio guys are gushing over Neil Allen this inning. They have such great things to say about him - not anything we haven't heard before, but nice to hear it from guys who have been around him.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Why can't I listen to today's game on 96.3?
BK432 Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Why can't I listen to today's game on 96.3? Twins aren't broadcasting the game; only the Rays have a radio broadcast.
Steven Buhr Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 back to back Ks for Salcedo? Not bad.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 So Odorizzi is pretty good then. But he only pitched 1 inning, probably 'cause it's March 6.ftfy I've tuned in late - top of the fifth. I see the starting lineups, above. Can someone give a quick recap, including who has pitched and for how long? Did Tommy Milone cruise during his stint?
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Ah, found it. Yahoo and ESPN's game pages only show the most rudimentary linescores, but mlb.tv (through which I am listening) has a good PBP. I didn't scour it for details, but it looks like Milone did well, with what seems like routine outs (grounders and popups) and a single that was not really lofted but went to center field. I see Milone as the favorite to make the starting rotation if he pitches OK in the spring. Early but he's got to be pleased. Darnell wasn't as successful in the third and fourth, but the scoring damage was tolerable.
NoCryingInBaseball Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Reading Tweets that Several subs in for Twins, including Sano, Buxton and Polanco.
Steven Buhr Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Polanco perhaps trying a bit too hard? Throwing error and now getting thrown out trying to advance to 2B.
Steven Buhr Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 There goes the Twins' perfect season. Ah well.
big dog Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 There goes the Twins' perfect season. Ah well.Wait 'til next year!
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Season over.Season? Pff. Just contract them already.
