Just a reminder that prospects struggle....

Not about a Twin but someone in the highly touted Cubs farm system that we saw in the futures game.

 

The Chicago Cubs have reason to be concerned about one of their Core Four prospects, infielder Javier Baez.

 

After Baez batted only .169 with 95 strikeouts during a 52-game big-league audition last year, many observers figured a return to his native Puerto Rico for winter ball would help Baez make the necessary adjustments at the plate -- in particular, an improved two-strike approach.

 

That hasnât happened.

He may turn it totally around but it is another reminder that patience is often necessary.

Yeah, and prospects with huge plate discipline issues take longer.  Baez had horrible walk/strike out rates even in the minors.  That's a bad recipe.
