On Thursday night in Cleveland, Minnesota Twins' Danny Santana displayed his extremely quick hands in the outfield.

With left fielder Jordan Schafer converging on a fly ball in the left-center gap, Schafer deferred at the last second to Santana who had to make a rapid adjustment to the falling orb.

At the plate we marvel at how he can generate a healthy swing with little movement and I think this play highlights why he is so good: He has lightning quick hands. In slow motion Santana turn away from the ball so he did not necessarily SEE the ball land in his glove:

WOW!

Thanks for sharing this!

WOW yet again. I just am more and more with everything this kid does. It just seems as though he has no fear at the plate, and no fear in his current, and still unfamiliar position of CF. Throw another obstacle in his path as a young ballplayer, and he just seems to skip over it as though it were nothing more than an annoying speed bump.

Parker, you do such an amazing job of breaking down a player's approach, at least at the plate, that I'd really like to hear your opinion on two key areas concerning Santana.

1) I am very impressed with his approach at the plate. He doesn't walk as much as anyone would like, but, he also seems to do a tremendous job of fouling off pitches looking for something to drive. He also seems to have real potential as a bunter as well. I understand there is potential for regressions, but am I crazy to think this kid has the ability to be a hit machine?

2) The arm, range, overall athleticism seems to indicate that he can actually play as a ML SS given the chance. Do you see the same?
