asmus_ndsu Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I thought since the twins pitchers have been so good at giving up bombs I thought this would be an interesting topic to discuss... If anyone has any metrics on this please input (especially if it relates to our Twins pitchers). So, what failed pitch do we see get hit out more than others, is it a flat slider, change left up, low 90s fastball down the middle, sinker with no sink, etc...
Paul Verified Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 For me it was always the hanging curve/slider. Though the harder the pitcher throws the more energy he contributes to the ball coming off the bat.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I would say straight four-seam fastball or a hanging breaking ball.
YourHouseIsMyHouse Provisional Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Hanging slider or a good ole' meatball right down main street.
powrwrap Verified Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Four seam fastball with no movement, i.e. a Capper.
