A win today would put the Twins in a tie for the 1st Wild Card spot, it's time to start scoreboard watching.

Apropos of nothing other than a flyball to the warning track: our daughter met Jason Kipnis in Las Vegas during the offseason. I sent her a link to the recent news item regarding his new contract, telling her that she missed her chance.

How many runs would a lineup of nine Florimons score in a season? 100? Less?

 

About as many runs as a lineup of lefthanded hitting Aaron Hicks.

 

If Hicks and Fmon batted 1 and 2, that would give this lineup the SPEED we need at the top.

Plus, it would mean we would be at .500 at least once during the season. I know I should aim higher for my goals for 2014, but I really want us to be at 500 at least once (unlike two years ago).
