Article: A New Britain Travel Guide

Good stuff. Let me throw another option out for Twins' fans who have at least a long weekend or a week to travel to the East Coast and see Twins' MiLB ball:

Fly to Albany, NY. Less than 2 hrs by car to New Britain and about 3 hrs to Rochester, plus even away games for both Northern IL and EL are close. Need to have a look at the Rock Cats' and Red Wings' schedules an plan it, but one can definitely double dip...

Also, touring the Harriet Beacher Stowe and Mark Twain homes/museums in Hartford are great ways to fill out the rest of your day(s) before the ballgame. If you take in either tours, stop by "The Half Door" a great Irish Pub in the area. Ranked #10 out of over 400 restaurants in the area. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g33804-d824213-Reviews-The_Half_Door-Hartford_Connecticut.html

Thry and Greed Guy, great comments and ideas -- thanks. The Half Door has a pretty amazing beer selection, and good food, too.

Since you mentioned non-eating/drinking things, I'd also add that the Wadsworth Anthenem (downtown Hartford) and New Britain Museum of American Art are both great to fill an afternoon.
