Suzuki is really batting 2nd?

Twins Video

Why on earth is Suzuki batting second? Last year his OBP was .290, career .309. This literally makes no sense at all.If Mauer plays under Gardy for 15 years, it would be interesting to see how many more RBI's he would have at the end of his carreer with a guy that gets on base in front of him. Casilla, Suzuki, etc.http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=340331104&teams=minnesota-twins-vs-chicago-white-sox

He's batting second until Hicks shows he can handle moving up to the leadoff spot. At least that is my guess.

Believe it or not suzuki has put up his best offensive numbers batting second. Having a professional hitter in front of Mauer should help the offense as the hitter should see a lot of fastballs. In a different thread somebody had posted all of the numbers Suzuki had put up per position in the batting order. If i recall correctly his on base percentage in the two hole was .336
