For those of you following the Twins minor league system it should come as no surprise that the 21-4 Miracle are BA's pick for best minor league team for the month of April. Not only that, the 18-5 Cedar Rapids come in second on the list. Its a great article that is well worth the read. I don't really have anything else to say but.....GO TWINS!

Fun read. Really excited to see if Buxton could get promoted to high A. A lineup with him, Rosario and Sano would get a lot of coverage.

Definitely a fun read! I love how it starts.

"It’s a pretty easy claim to make. The Miracle finished April with the best record in the minors, 21-4. They are third in the minors in run differential (+50) and fifth in runs scored despite playing in the high Class A Florida State League, where runs are scarce. As you would expect, the four teams ranked above them are all clubs that play either in the California or Pacific Coast leagues, far and away the two highest-scoring leagues in the minors."

Maybe BA had it right when they had Sano AND Buxton in their top 10 to start the year.

BA released their All-Prospect Team for April and no surprise Buxton and Sano made the list. Here is what they had to say about our two studs:

Sano-

While you wouldn’t want to bet the house on Sano continuing to hit .441 on balls in play, he could make a run at the FSL record for home runs in a season—Jim Fuller with 31 in ’71—and he led the circuit with a .368 average, nine homers, a .747 slugging percentage and 17 extra-base hits in April.

Buxton:

Not often do elite raw tools turn into elite production this quickly for teenagers in the MWL—Justin Upton put up a .757 OPS for South Bend in ’06, for example—but Buxton led the circuit with a .392 average, .684 slugging percentage and 25 runs scored in April.

The Twins, Braves, and Mets were the only teams with two prospects and the Indian's Lindor was the only other AL Central prospect to make it.
