  1. While NO and TB winning knocked the Vikings out of the playoffs, those two teams winning also means GB has to win to make the playoffs. Today is one of the twice annual times I cheer for the Bears.
  2. Nice sack for Hunter. Not sure he even touched Goff though.
  3. It sure would be a lot easier if their best players keep getting knocked out. Why are they still using both of their running backs? Either can carry the load, at least make sure you have one healthy for the playoffs.
  4. OK, that's enough. We've already gone over that this is not what others want. You need to stop with this accusation as it's inflammatory, untrue and attacking the character of other posters.
  5. Mullens almost walked Jefferson into getting his head knocked off there. Jefferson thought he was going to get destroyed too. Got lucky there.
  6. It does, it guarantees the opportunity to draft better players. You still have to make wise decisions, but obviously if you're drafting at 18, 17 other teams get a shot to make the wise decision before you. I mean this is obvious and isn't even up for debate except in a fantasy world where math has been replaced by magic. And the Steelers haven't been close to winning a Super Bowl since the future HOF QB they drafted 11th overall no longer was an elite player. Because having an elite QB and being a perennial contender have strong correlations.
  7. Addison's progression has been weird this year. He looked like an NFL ready starter early in the year. He seems to be making rookie mistakes every week lately though.
  8. Wow, Johnny Mundt, new deep threat. Nice play.
  9. There's no historical correlation between where a player is drafted and how good they are. Solid take that I'm sure is backed up by any kind of analysis. How about asking the Texans what their draft position did for them last year?
  10. Yeah, letting him walk for nothing but a comp pick is inexcusable. With bizarrely re-signing Mattison and then sitting on their hands and waiting until next year with decisions on Hunter, Jefferson and Cousins, last off season sure seemed like Adofo-Mensah didn't actually have a game plan with how to proceed.
  11. Uh huh, and you make it sound like it's because they enjoy seeing the team lose, and not because they want to see the team build an actual contender.
  12. Good lord let it go. There is no 'I want to lose' crowd, you're clearly trying to denigrate the 'I want this team to be better than they are now' crowd.
  13. Yeah, funny how that Denver, Chicago, LV stretch occurred while playing offenses who's QBs are going to be replaced next season.
  14. They fixed that pretty quickly. I wonder if the Vikings are similarly capable of fixing their opening drive flatness.
  15. Right, they got Scherzer and Verlander off of their books so they can employ Manaea? If your rotation options are so bad that you need to pay Manaea, you might as well just go with the guys in your system regardless how good or ready they are and shop for lotto ticket arms later in the offseason.
  16. Yup, I'm still watching, I don't tune out just because the team isn't very good. Pretty sure most fans are that way. Certainly stadium attendance is impacted, but that's just concessions, as the Vikings sold all their tickets long ago, secondary market dealers are the ones left holding unused seats.
  17. Sorry, but I don't imagine a reasonable assessment of Trevor Bauer would be made by someone who has been following his vlog for years.
  18. You're confusing two completely different departments and men. Falvey can get credit for his honesty about the payroll and the on field product, but this is a low point for Dave St. Peter and his baseball operations decisions. What a con. We don't sell enough tickets because of the weather, which we decided to ignore with an open roof stadium, so instead we'll only sell the more expensive seats. Think of how all of this "increasing fan experience" by making sure everyone is packed into the same sections even TWO years ago. Even before COVID, it was a bonus when you found out you didn't have others sitting next to you and you could spread out. I think it was Beatle Bailey who said hell is other people.
  19. And we've seen this game before. The midseason July prediction for TJ recover always means late august at the earliest and spring training the following season at the most likely.
  20. Anyone who doesn't strikeout 33% of the time and has an base percentage greater than .278. Which is pretty much every option.
  21. Then there is no basis for any conclusions.
  22. Not sure if they are able to make a playoff embarrassment meaningful, but few teams are able to make them as memorable.
  23. This really makes it look the Mariners intend to trade one of their current five starters. What ever combination of vets and prospects the Mariners are looking for, it's hard not to get excited being a Twins fan. Both team’s needs fit great together.
  24. It's in the Vikings best interest to lose so while rational math says it's 2.3%, destiny math says it's probably closer to 80%.
  25. Yes, in Canada it's considered rude should you inquire about balles more than once.
