HOw many senators and "congresspeople" do the democrats have on the ticket for president? How many of them have presented ANYHTING addressing this issue? Please wake up and smell the coffee. The country needs solutions not rhetoric

https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/sw-border-migration Back in March I was pretty adamant that there was a problem at the border and gunnathor and others seemed to brush it off as some fabrication by Trump and his team to pursue policy. On March 19th alone almost 4,000 people were detained at the border. Would you people prefer these undocumented asylum seekers simply were absorbed into our population no questions asked? And why, pray tell, don't African and Asian immigrants get the same good fortune? Why do they have to adhere to the process while these folks don't? I guess it's the luck of geography. I swear almost no one made sense when I tried to talk about this issue in the spring and now no one wants to talk about because I was actually correct. Which leads me to this..... Maybe Trump was ahead of the curve on this one? Maybe he should get credit for realizing with the existing conditions at the border there was potential for it to become and issue again as it was during the Bush administration. Maybe this little corner of the world doesn't have everything right when it comes to understand the world? Maybe certain biases on the part of the left is holding them back? Imagine that

I refuse to listen to anyone who would complain about Gibby not getting a complete game. YES he had only 88 pitches thrown and two hits allowed with just three outs to go. It would have been great to see a complete game, but then I have a hard time questioning it. We won.

Not exactly sure what this means, but if you are unable to speak about this incident beyond some silly acronym that says all I need to know. It says to me that this thread isn't for seeing this as a two way street. YES there are corrupt cops. No kidding. However, to speak only about that and say nothing about forces that unreasonably and violently anti-police is (pardon the pun) cop out. This is a case where the police were doing their job trying to bring in a felon who vowed that they would never take him alive on his Facebook page. All this talk about "showing restraint" and I don't know how you do it when you are charged to bring in felons who don't want to go to jail and are willing to take your life if you dare to do your job. This is the kind of stuff, quite frankly, that makes this thread useless. And with that, I am done. You are now free to complain about the police free of my quesioning

Where I have I justified family separation? And NO he has not bungled the crisis. If anything he is TRYING to address this issue and DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS has been resistant to anything used to address the crisis beyond rhetoric. Where are their solutions? Did you even watch the Bernie Sanders town hall yet? You are supposed to be a Bernie guy. What the heck is his solution?

Cops were attacked for shooting a wanted man. "Webber had been wanted in a June 3 shooting that happened during a car theft about 25 miles (40 kilometers) south of Memphis in Hernando, Mississippi." https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/tennessee-shooting-involving-task-force-investigation-63679962 Apparently there were onlookers who saw a cop taking this lunatic down and because he was black demanded to know why they were mistreating this poor young man. As a result a mob attacked the officers. This is insanity and it is not the fault of the police. For all those who want the Hyde Amendment repealed, this felon on the run was 20 and had his 3rd child on the way. I guess this is the kind of thing which supports that thought process. I get it now.

We went through the border here back in March and April. Through that whole discussion I made sure to use known liberal publications (such as the NY Times) and actual figures compiled by the underlined above. This amounts to "propaganda" to them since it doesn't fall in line with what they prefer to believe. Sometimes reality isn't pretty and the fake family unit phenomena is obviously something Doomints (and anyone who thanked his post) hasn't a clue about. Not because it is not factual, but rather because they prefer to refer to it as either some form of racism or "propaganda"

I am honestly sick and tired of these broad accusations of "racism" The word is used so much and in such a haphazard way by white people that it ceases to have meaning. You weren't doing too bad until you troweled out this "racist" garbage. If that is what you and the majority of those posting in this thread believe then you might be angry for a number of years. Case in point, immigration. The idea that building a wall is "RACIST" and that "these people" are being targeted because they are brown is absolutely absurd. I have went through immigration rather extensively already and backed everything up with data and articles from liberal media outlets just you couldn't talk smack about bias. I guarantee you that if somehow Poland, Italy, Ireland and Sweden (pick a European nation) were south of the border and they used the same tactics that these northern triangle countries are now using to get into the country nothing would be different. Trump and his team are going after a huge issue with the border. Whether you understand or accept what is going on there matters not to them or me. You say the way he talks about and handles immigration is ugly. Are you even aware of how extensively children are being used to create fake family units? I don't have time to get you up to speed on this. I literally spent over 100 hours reading about and watching videos regarding the immigration issue in just the last three months. This junk about how, "Republicans tacitly allow racists in their midst" is silly. Who are you talking about exactly? The whole damn party?

Pretty much this. Let's just say I don't see where making the Hyde Amendment, abolishing the electoral college, reparations and magically erasing college debt is realistic or helpful. There is the short version of my answer, but what you said is more succinct and probably even more effective. Then again, I am not the one touting her. I would like to hear WHY she is serious candidate for president. I asked and had the question thrown back at me for some reason.

They need a more moderate candidate. Traditional moral values would not include embrace the federal government paying for abortions that aren't the result of rape. Seems to me as though sex and sexual proclivities should be free, open, unrestricted and even celebrated by the far left. That has nothing to do with any kind of traditional morality I ain't even mad at you, Ben. It's just 9 times out of 10 your opinions in this forum don't make any sense to me.

I am not in favor of overturning Rowe vs Wade so you are barking up the wrong tree if you want me to make the case for people who want to overturn it

What the Cubs signed him for and what we would have needed to sign him for are two entirely different deals, so do not assume those numbers he got from Chicago are what we could have had him for. Furthermore, how do we even know he is going to be effective this year? What has he been doing the last four months? This team is tied with Houston and the LA Dodgers in winning percentage at .667 and that is tops in baseball. We are going to whine about not signing some primadonna that sat out until almost 40% of the season was over? Whatever. I think I'll pass. -

Forget Thomas. I've moved on. As I said earlier I couldn't care less about the Hyde Amendment and the fact that a guy like Biden makes this part of his platform further illustrates how out of touch democrats are with the American people. This is a guy who opened up his campaign with the word "dignity" Abortions are a result of irresponsible behavior. Use contraception and if you don't then get a freaking abortion. It shouldn't be up to the government to pay for this stuff. Maybe you think it should, but I don't (unless we are talking about rape or incest). Imagine if a democrat actually spoke about a shift toward more traditional moral values. Or is that a problem? Just trying to feel where you are coming from

The man is a Supreme court justice and he's black yet you couldn't care less what he feels about race.
