1. Found this from Buster If true (why would Buster make this up) Twins odds improved by 0.37%
2. Possibly due to public out cry and unfair firing practices here's one organization that seems to have Mike's back https://sports.yahoo.com/marlins-not-willing-pay-shohei-ohtani-035924943.html Twins odds just improved by 0.115%
3. It's this kind of initiative that makes TwinsDaily what it is! Now if we only had a look at the flight manifest....
4. With Berardino making this declaration And Joel Sherman One can only hope that @DerekFalvey AND #ThadLevine (what GM doesn't, at the minimum, have an intern tweeting as them?) are both in California right now Any neighbors, close personal friends or other baseball exec stalkers know Where in the World is Falvine???
5. The correct answer is: Yes https://www.youtube.com/embed/kTcRRaXV-fg
6. Everyone knows Who's on First but I Don't Know your Third Baseman's name? Quote and post your answer (kajillion TwinsDaily points for those with the only correct answer)
7. In order to support/keep the core intact there will be some minimum wage players on the bench and in the pen...which is why I don't believe a trade of prospects at this point is the best way to acquire a starter Darvish can make the ball move...as his velo drops with age being able to spin-it makes him a better than most candidate to still get guys out...now if he loses control as well as velo, I'm deleting all these posts! If Mauer rides off to his hidden hunting ground Rooker or the Rule-5 returnee Lewin Diaz will save the club $10M at 1B in the examples above Don't extend Dozier and save a few more Million in 2018 and ensuing years...should be a fun hot-stove season as long as someone doesn't start a Trade Dozier 4 bazillion page topic

10. Your 2018 New York Yankees Manager
11. All this talk about evidence....
12. It's time for some heavy lifting by the FO and the Payroll department before the Armageddon that will hit Salary Structures when Machado, Harper and Kershaw (resigns with Dodgers) are Free Agents and to set the Twins up for some cost certainty for the impending 6 consecutive year playoff run (and I don't mean 6 wild card games) Below is a 6 year plan (names will obviously change in some positions and dollars will move around a little) that would add Starters and Relievers, extend a few grizzled vets and keep the core together all while maintaining a fairly flat payroll for the next 3 years Payroll totals including any Dead Pool Money
2018$136.09M 2019$138.15M 2020$121.80M 2021$151.70M 2022$167.40M 2023$175.40M
I call this Pay As You Know rather than Pay As You Go...you can still look at things from year to year but at least you have some certainty moving forward Do trades become more difficult? Only if players don't perform...that's what the farm is for (also why I wouldn't move young players at this time in block buster trades) controlled expenditures in the future should this Titanium plan not work out edit - Here's link to the plan as the image was too big to be little 6 year plan Extensions are always an approximation that I extrapolated from Seth's Series and the reactions by TwinsDaily peeps

15. There is...this from MLBTR "...teams can only trade for 75% of their original pool amount. In the Yankees’ case, the team started with $4.75MM, meaning they are capped at $8.3MM total. And the organization had already boosted its pool to $8MM (a good portion of which it has already spent). As things stand, the Yanks have $3.5MM left to dangle for Ohtani or utilize on other international amateur talent."
16. Wishing and hoping for a headline like this from the Twins in the next 14 minutes: Rangers Acquire Burdi, Bard, Reed from Twins for Int'l Money...All of It
17. Do you think this will be the only announcement? Or could they be working on some prospect trades that may not pan out until closer to 7:00pm deadline?
18. As if it wasn't bad enough that I have to occasionally do upper level calculus and higher level probability theorems as well as refreshing my American Literature reading list on TwinsDaily now I need to augment my vocabulary to keep up with the higher intellect required to understand posts like this posted without wanton hubris or gratuitous disparagization intended
19. That's what's changing the Rule 5 draft so much...young international signings being eligible at a point where decisions on the costs, dollars and development, that have been spent along with future performance projections
