  1. As I stated just a placeholder...I would expect him to want to play again and if he does the Twins will find a way to pay him...maybe it's $4M/yr for 2 years
  2. Littell has been poorly incorporated at the MLB level for a guy his age to be a short notice "you're starting tomorrow" or "you're pitching the 11th" isn't fair unless the team plans to follow it up with more opportunities and not a red eye to Rochester Unfortunately for him he's the guy they chose to start burning options...clocks ticking on Will stay on the 40-man for long Badoo stats indicate he's at AA...pretty sure he's only at Cedar Rapids
  3. Just like building on wetlands or inventing artificial butter... https://youtu.be/qWMyWr9_CVo and I can never remember how to embed youtube
  4. Faith in Humanity restored once again...people can think/infer/deduct from clues...thanks jk Carew was also a fave especially when the back of his baseball card had him living in the same city I did!
  5. 1.) Where are you from? Minnesota - St. Louis Park to Princeton to Grand Rapids to Bemidji to Remer/Longville to Thief River Falls 2.) Age Range? I'm as old as the 2nd AL Rookie of the Year Award won by a Twin 3.) What brought you to Twins Daily? Rumors that there was intelligent baseball conversation here...my intelligence has been challenged more than once since 4.) Highest level of baseball/softball played? 2 years at Itasca CC, 5+ years coaching at ICC, 15 years HS coach currently a Prowler coaching girls golf 5.) Favorite Twins Player - '87 Twins Team - magical ride to first major sports title Favorite under appreciated Twin - Every Burly Twin Future Star that had to live up to being The Killer (Kusick, Gorinski come to mind...or Willie Norwood because the worst defensive OF ever was Hosken Bombo Willie (although Disco wasn't much better than any of them) Favorite current Twin - Rosario...he is what he is a ball player 6.) Favorite non-Twins Daily site/authors? Worked at The Pioneer in Bemidji so I'm partial to newspaper guys LEN 7.) Favorite Twitter follows? Technology/Culture peeps from the Education Community 8.) Other interests outside of baseball. Golf, kids (grand or the regular kind) 9.) Favorite part of Twins Daily - Agreeing to Disagree even though it still doesn't make sense 10.) Tell us what we can do better. What features or other topics would you like to see in-season or out of season? 11.) Have you been to any of the Twins Daily "events?" Not unless driving through Warroad is considered an event
  6. A quick look at the remaining Strength of Schedules for the Twins and the Indians and maybe a bigger Ray of Hope for the rest of the year Games remaining for the Twins by division AL Central 43 AL West 13 AL East 14 NL Central 2 Games remaining for the Indians by division AL Central 35 AL West 6 AL East 24 NL Central 7 Those 8 extra games versus the AL Central could be the difference Dark Cloud addendum: Combined winning % of teams remaining to play actually shows the Twins with a slightly tougher schedule (Twins Opponents .450 Indians .447)
  7. Magic Number Afternoon Edition Division: 81 Wild Card: 87
  8. and another Robby the Rally Killer sighting
  9. Rally killer Rosario...of all peeps...works a count take a walk to "Keep the Line Moving" and Doze jumps out front, rolls over, tries to pull the outside pitch and if Moose was aggressive might have had a triple play Dozier trade value takes a hit Another example of Twins hitters making it easy for the other pitcher
  10. Whit Merri-go-round on that one...had to LOL Laid an egg on it then dodge-balled Kepler in the ankle
  11. two runs needed this inning...Kennedy doing his part to give us a few runners
  12. Catching up on the days medical analysis in the JTR thread and i look up to see...Garver drop another duece down the middle...ug-ly
  13. Ah...now I see why Slegers only threw FB....Garver unable to handle the duece down the middle from Rogers...drops the ball...yikes
  14. If those were called from the bench...or that was the game plan because he's young...that's just dumb
  15. This is a prime example of what happens when you just throw FB-FB-FB-FB-FB-FB-FB-FB-FB 89-89-89-89-89-89-89-89-89-89 Nervous or not you have to mix things up either pitch wise or velocity As I type this 89-89-89-89-89
  16. Magic Number Update: Division: 83 Wild Card: 89
  17. Gotta spend money to make money...It will hurt to just be in the conversation for JTR Romero could be one snapped off slider from TJ and then it's a crapshoot As Chief pointed out...this is the type of deal teams looking to win in the next few years make
  18. Nice return for Robby the Rally Killer! Grinding out a win is better than losing all the 1 run games...Keep the Game Line Moving Fellas!
  19. Threw this out there the other day http://twinsdaily.com/topic/30529-way-to-early-2019-roster-quick-fix-for-the-offense/ Couldn't agree with you more Nick I'd start with Romero and work from there...fill the hole behind the plate for at least 2 years and go from there Then I'd offer Machado whatever he wanted for 2 years or 4 years or 10 years
  20. You're not in Baltimore anymore Manny
  21. Looks like the Cubs from earlier this week...single...single...single...single Keep the Line Moving
  22. EDIT Machado is a Hitting Machine...would look good at SS next year $40M/year for 4 years??
