Down in the minors, Sawyer Gipson-Long delivered another quality start for Cedar Rapids, lowering his ERA to 1.99 in the process. Spencer Steer and Tim Beckham lifted the Saints lineup once again, as St. Paul scored 10 runs. Steer hit his seventh homer in just 14 games since being promoted and Beckham launched a go-ahead grand slam. All that and more in tonight's Twins System Recap. View full video

  8. Nick Gordon was making plays both in the field and at the plate but it wasn't enough to lift the Minnesota Twins, as they fell to the Tigers Thursday. Down on the farm, Matt Canterino delivered another short but scoreless start. I briefly discussed what I think should be the plan for him going forward. Also, Roy Morales had a grand performance in extra innings for the Saints and Christian Encarnacion-Strand had another highlight-worthy performance.

  12. Devin Smeltzer provided the Minnesota Twins with a quality start in the first game of their doubleheader Tuesday against the Tigers. With the Twins dealing with so many injuries and illness, the St. Paul Saints roster was left extremely thin. After Caleb Hamilton exited with an injury of his own, several players were pressed into action in unfamiliar roles, including several pitchers hitting and catcher David Bañuelos making his first career appearance at second base. Bañuelos homered earlier in the game and even made a couple plays at second base. All that and much more in tonight's Twins System Recap. View full video
