  2. The Minnesota Twins were swept at Houston and have lost six straight games. Ugh. Down in Triple-A St. Paul's own Louie Varland has been incredible in his first three starts for the Saints. Tonight he pitched six shutout innings and struck out nine batters. Highlights of that performance and more in tonight's system recap. View full video

  4. The Minnesota Twins lost their fifth-straight game Wednesday night in Houston. An unfortunate misplay in the outfield by non-outfielder Tim Beckham helped unravel what was a disastrous bridge inning for Michael Fulmer. Prospects highlighted tonight include Michael Helman, Cody Laweryson, Edouard Julien, Austin Martin and Anthony Prato, who made a brilliant diving catch in left field.

  6. Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli was ejected by the umpiring crew in Houston after there was a misunderstanding over what was counted as a mound visit. Rocco left the dugout after a benches-clearing incident, was credited as having made a mound visit and not made aware of that fact. Later in the inning, Twins pitching coach Pete Maki went out for a visit and the Twins were forced to remove starter Aaron Sanchez because it was technically their second visit of the inning. Ooof. Down in the minors, Chris Williams continued to mash for the Saints and Austin Martin was running wild for the Wind Surge. All that and more in tonight's recap. View full video

  8. The Minnesota Twins have been bad with runners in scoring position but I found a particular situational hitting stat they lead the league in that absolutely blew my mind. View full video

  10. Joe Ryan turned in a quality start but the Minnesota Twins lineup was nowhere to be found, once again, as the Rangers won 7-0 Sunday. Also in today's recap are highlights of Simeon Woods Richardson's Triple-A debut, Chris Williams, Jermaine Palacios, Matt Wallner's walk-off, Austin Martin, Jair Camargo, Aaron Sabato, Jaylen Nowlin's Cedar Rapids debut, a Brooks Lee home run and more.

  16. Minnesota Twins minor league highlights, plus a look around the standings across the system. For Wichita, Austin Martin made a great diving catch, Aaron Sabato homered (again) and Brent Headrick struck out 10 batters. In Cedar Rapids, Mikey Perez got the only hit, but good thing it was a home run. The Kernels won 1-0, as Tyler Palm, Jon Olsen, Matthew Swain and Bradley Hanner combined for the shutout. 22. The Minnesota Twins lost to the Angels Sunday, dropping their series to end a poor west coast road trip. Byron Buxton's 28th home run of the year was all the offense the team could muster. 24. The Minnesota Twins suffered a heart-breaking loss in extra innings to the Angels Saturday night. A couple of catches in the outfield that were just missed could have turned the game the other direction, but as it was, the Twins lost another game in which they were pathetic with runners in scoring position and Emilio Pagán served up another home run. Down on the farm, Edouard Julien and Matt Wallner continued to absolutely rake.
