"Stan Musial hits five home runs in a doubleheader with the Giants in St. Louis." I had to read this sentence about a dozen times before I figured out that it was the doubleheader that was with the Giants, not Stan Musial. I need more caffeine!

This is the type of team that I had hoped to see but didn't expect to see. Hopefully this continues because this was a fun series.

You're making me hungry AND thirsty now. Stop it!

    RUN YOU FOOL!!!

I'll bring the grape juice, wine or vinegar. I'm going to run that bit into the ground.
  6. wsnydes
With either grape juice, wine or vinegar.

The Twins are 85-86 against the Rays all time. I would not have guessed that.

    That's one weird lookin' goat..

At least the question about what I should eat tonight has been narrowed down!
  10. wsnydes
    Again.
  11. wsnydes
If you could tell me whether the grape juice smells more like wine or vinegar, I can answer that question.

Gio 0 for his last 13.

Hopefully he's got his heart rate under 3000bpm now.

    See!
  15. wsnydes
He'd benefit more from getting someone out!

I liked this game better when it wasn't as interesting.
  17. wsnydes
    So much for the shutout.

Considering the talent they jettisoned this offseason, that shouldn't be much of a surprise. They may get better as the season progresses, but it probably shouldn't be a shock to see them struggle early.

Insurance runs! Larnach making himself a case.

I'm not sure how to answer this because it's completely dependent on my expectations heading into the season. Coming off of last season and a weird offseason, my expectations were that they'd be one of the added wild card teams. I'm still on that boat, but if the Central continues to be as bad as it is right now, then I go from classifying a successful season as a playoff appearance to a series win. And that's even considering the fact that they're still not legitimate competitors, just the benefactor of yet another atrocious division.

Radio crew noted that only one of his HRs was off a fastball, so he's punishing off speed stuff more this season too.
  22. wsnydes
    Lasagna?
  23. wsnydes
    Oh, he's our shortstop!
  24. wsnydes
    Jorge!

Larnach continues to show he belongs.
