  1. I agree 100% with my colleague and would add (as has been stated many times) that it's perfectly OK to emphatically criticize Gardy or anyone else, so long as you follow the TD policy as posted at the top of the main forum. The policy even gives helpful examples. For example, it is OK to say that you believe that Gardy's handling of the bullpen is totally incompetent and that you believe that the Twins should fire him tomorrow, preferably giving reasons for your opinion. But it's not OK to call Gardy (or anyone else) names like "idiot", "fat moron", "incompetent parasite" or "G-Slug." The policy is not intended to restrict what you can say. The goal of the policy is to keep the discussion respectful, so that we can have rational discussions instead of flame wars.
  2. We could have used your humor tonight. Even a week in Hawaii with Olivia might not be enough to erase the putridness of tonight's game.
  3. Yankees announcers seem amazed at Doumit's incompetence as a catcher.
  4. Twins walk in a run then Hafner scores easily on a passed ball. How much worse could this get?
  5. Have a good night my friend -- you are wise to wait until tomorrow to learn the full extent of the Twins chokitude.
  6. I would be happy with typical tonight. This has been a festival of bad performances by the Twins: 1. Inability to score on a 41 year old pitcher after a decent first inning. 2. 2 official errors, but seems like there should have been more. 3. Second Burton implosion in 2 games. 4. That look Gardy always gets when the Yankees come back -- I have seen that look too many times over too many years. 5. The Twins just seem to fall apart against the Yankees. I can't help wondering how the world might be different if the Twins had a manager like Girardi. I switched to the Yankees feed an hour ago. I could not bear the Twins feed any longer.
  7. Someone forgot to tell Parmelee that there is no hope of beating the Yankees.
  8. That is a lot of driving, especially with the 4th of July traffic.
  9. Hey, ChiTown -- on your way to Florida?
  10. I just hope he does not get them all tonight.
  11. I wish the Twins had been more patient this inning -- run up the frigging pitch count.
  12. That was a key walk. The more pitches Pettitte has to throw now, the less likely he will be to find his Twins killing mojo later.
  13. From CBS -- Pettitte, 41, has lost three straight outings with 12 runs allowed over 19 2/3 innings with 16 Ks. He'll look for the record and his first win since June 8 when he takes the mound Monday at Minnesota. Please let's get to this guy before he builds a rythm.
  14. For years I have been hoping that Pettitte would grow too old to dominate the Twins. I am hoping that such time has come and that the Twins will score early and often tonight then wear out the Yankees bullpen. I am also glad that Mauer is getting a day off -- I think that he needs one.
  15. Not today. Tough loss for the Twins. Give some credit to the Royals.
  16. That's not a lot. It sounds like you must do all the cooking. I like takeout. We live within walking distance of lots of restaurants.
  17. Most of them do have candy.
  18. That sounds incredible. Do you ever use pineapple on the firewire?
  19. Mauer just not having a good day. He probably needs a day off.
  20. I think that you might be better advised to go to a dispensary -- they are also open 7 days a week and it would mellow you out.
  21. For once, I am glad that Gardy did not call you for advice.
