  1. We could have got more done if I had signed some of them, but I cannot write in Canadian.
  2. The Twins offense seems unable to capitalize on opportunities tonight, but Gibson and the defense seem to be doing a great job.
  3. I should have worn my GLORM t-shirt.
  4. I will clarify. The row where I was sitting juts out into the field next to the Twins dugout. There is only one entrance and the 80 year old woman in charge was not letting anyone in who did not have a ticket. Kids were trying to reach over to hand stuff to Morneau to sign, but only the really tall people could reach. So kids were giving stuff to the 80 year old woman and she was taking them to Morneau one at a time along with each kid's sharpie. This was not efficient. So I got up and collected items from 5 or 6 kids at a time, lined them up to make them easy for Morneau to sign and opened a sharpie that he could use for every item. This was much more efficient than relying on the 80 year old woman and opening and closing each person's sharpie. We got about 40 to 50 items signed in a short time.
  5. I got to speak briefly with Morneau last night while helping him sign autographs. I told him that I hoped that the Twins would re-sign him and he said "me too." I think he meant it. Watching him play first base, it was clear to me that he was very focused.
  6. No, my son and I were both wearing the Twins blue t-shirts with red letters. We were in the first row next to the Twins dugout.
  7. The final game of the 2002 ALCS was unbearable. Eleven years later I still have nightmares. Between Adam Kennedy's twelve home runs in one game and that feces throwing monkey, the trauma has lingered.
  8. Not tonight. I have had some family matters that have been pressing so I bought tickets for only one game this year. But I will be watching at home and sharing some of my experiences from last night. We did not get back until after midnight last night, because of freeway repairs, and I am too tired to even think about that much driving. Also, getting to Anaheim during rush hour is not fun.
  9. Great setup Brian. 4. I think that last night Doumit made the final out in at least 3 innings. I was sitting less than 50 feet from him as he walked to right field and could tell that he was frustrated. Last night was a good win for the Twins, despite Hicks' failure to slide and Dozier overrunning the pop up in right field. The Angels seem to be demoralized and I hope that the Twins can capitalize again tonight.
  10. I was sitting near you h2o and agree with you 100%. I hope that someone on the coaching staff speaks with Hicks about this. But with all due respect to John, the impression of everyone in my section (including me) was that Hicks would likely have been safe if he had slid. It also seemed to me that he was not at full speed as he approached the plate.
  11. Please tone this down my friends. We allow a bit of extra latitude on non-baseball threads, but this is getting out of hand. You can debate passionately, but the labeling and disrespect need to stop.
  12. Your trip to Vegas did not last long enough, which is always the case. I hope that all of your aliases had a great time.
  13. We may allow some slight extra leeway here, but please keep in mind the TD policy against name calling. I share the sentiment against Braun, but the policy remains in place, even as to this unsavory player.
  14. Gardy, for starters. And Anderson. But as always, I will mainly be cheering and yelling positive thoughts. This will be the only game I attend in person this year -- my one chance to let the Twins know I care.
  15. I will be attending with my younger son. We will be sitting right next to the Twins dugout.
  16. I am agnostic as to the details, but agree that Diamond needs a break from starting. I would also like to see Albers come up soon.
  17. I would prefer that the Twins get a good night's sleep and not embarrass us.
  18. I hope not. The strip is far from Anaheim and they should try to get to bed early.
  19. I wore my Killebrew jersey to the Weaver shutout, so tomorrow I think I will go with the blue t-shirt with red letters.
  20. I will be sitting next to Twins dugout trying to cheer them to victory.
  21. Deduno needs to turn this around tomorrow.
