    I prefer Blue Valentine to Blue Velvet. Both movies have very depressing plots, but at least in Blue Valentine Michelle Williams has a topless scene. I think that there is something about female nudity that dissipates depression.

    This review pretty much sums it up for me. Also, a friend who is a psychiatrist has said that this movie has increased his business.

    This type of squabbling is not going to be tolerated. I am issuing a warning to cut this out, and if it continues then we are going to start issuing infractions.

    This comment about Buxton having "5X the internal drive to succeed" is unsupportable and inflammatory. Understandably, some people called you out on this then you got defensive and the thread got sidetracked. Let's all try to be more careful not to make comments that are unsupportable and inflammatory. And if such comments are made, then please report the offending post by clicking on the triangular icon with the exclamation point in the middle. If this post had been reported, I would have deleted it. This could have been a much more fun and interesting thread if not for the hijacking. There are lots of interesting things to say about Buxton without casting unfounded aspersions about Hicks.

    We are going to the Groundlings, where they do skits that are laced with improv. Our friends have been and say that it should be very funny.

    I am looking forward to it. And tomorrow we are going out with friends to dinner then a comedy club, AFTER I put in a full day at the office.

    Today is my birthday. Too bad I am still at work grinding out a project that has to be done by Monday. Fortunately, my wife is making my favorite dinner and has suggested an adult swim later tonight.
