  1. Where's that hitting pitcher god Bartolo Colon when you need him Texas, I think
  2. Well considering they just flew in a few days ago from Florida. And boy are their arms tired
  3. He's a pitch framer. Not a pitch catcher.
  4. Well Manfred did want to make games move quicker. http://s2.quickmeme.com/img/b6/b654bb450c4e4da65e11d3a3ea36679cab72c39f66e8cdde4057acc6ccf0f9d5.jpg
  5. 94-68 (First in AL Central) Offensive Player of the Year: Brian Dozier Most Home Runs: Brian Dozier Starting Pitcher of the Year: Jose Berrios Relief Pitcher of the Year: Addison Reed Twins Rookie of the Year: Stephen Gonsalves
  6. If we haven't seen any fire outta Joe yet, I don't think we will. There's more than one way to be a leader. Joe just isn't a rah-rah guy. He is what he is in that department. And that's fine.
  7. Potentially huge claim. Some say he’s the next David Ortiz.
  8. Wouldn't call it great news. Still unfortunate and disappointing to have even a accusation levied upon him. It will still take a long time for Sano to put this behind him. Whole situation, is as others have said, uncomfortable.
  9. Congrats Tom! Enjoy the recaps and all you've brought to TD!
  10. Kinley's opponent quality in spring training this year in 6.6. Or somewhere between High-A and AA type of opponents. So he's more or less dominating the competition he was playing against all of last year. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=kinley000tyl#pitching_st::none So while his numbers this spring have been encouraging and the 99 MPH fastball with a 90 MPH slider is sexy, I'm approaching his spring training numbers with some extreme cautious optimism. Hopefully the Twins can work out a trade so he can get some seasoning in AAA.
  11. Is it possible to have Adrianza and Escobar job share? Like let Adrianza play defense and Escobar bat. In a less than optimal situation, this is the best option I'm only kidding, of course. (but am I?)
  12. Well, you are the President of the "Baseball Player Positional Flexibility" Club. I'd be disappointed if you didn't want that. Love the signing. Anytime you can improve the roster, I'm all for it. As many have said, looks like it's either Vargas or Grossman that is the odd man out. I'd be willing to bet that Vargas is out given his limits in the field. Would be nice if Vargas had a option left to have some value in a trade, but I don't think he has much value in a trade outside of a throw in of a bigger trade.
