    There does not appear to be sound, but each of them auto plays. I currently have two of them going in this thread alone... With the text boxes on each reply to the thread.

    Upon plunking around on TD a bit further while at work, I have to agree here that the text boxes are proving to be a huge headache trying to navigate through any threads. One in every 5 or so replies will also contain a video link advertisement, which is throwing stuff out of whack even more. This only became a problem in the past couple days.

    Rocketpig, I have the same problem when I use the site at work. I thinks its Vista. Can't update work computers. EDIT: It's Windows XP. Whatever. I knew it was one of the crappy old versions.

    I beg to differ. I'm not sure if you realize how bad our pitching is. We could have a top 5 offense and it wouldn't offset our pitching.

    I feel there should be one more dimension looked at - career WAR of pitchers drafted by team. Example - compare the drafting of pitchers of the Rays over the past few years compared to the Twins. EDIT: to build on that, it might show who has superior scouting in the late rounds compared to teams that aren't as good that frequently draft toward the top of the round.

    Not to defend Valencia's crappy year last year, but he self admitedly was swinging a lot harder for the fences to try to compenstate for the terrible offense and it hurt his overall numbers also.

    I think what Chief is saying is that Dozier isn't the caliber of player that you keep in the minors to delay a big payday one year because simply put, he isn't going to be Strasburg or Bryce Harper.

    I also am in Iowa and for any of you this is relevent to, the only way I can watch Twins games here was by getting DirecTV with the regional sports package. Mediacom defaults to carry FSMidwest, which shows Cardinals. I called and complained several times because they are arbitrarily choosing the Cards out of the 6 blackout teams, but what do I know apparently. Needless to say, Mediacom won't be getting business from me anymore if I can at all help it.

    The thing is though, is that you are referencing his minor league OBP like we should expect it to go up from the .310 last year. If he can't hit the ball out of the infield, no major league pitcher is going to throw him anything out of the zone to let him walk at any higher of a rate anyway. He is going to have to hit about 50 points higher on his average for him to make his OBP anything to remotely write home about.

    I think our argument with your point is that you are stating that Revere has the best chance of not making outs at the best rate at the major league level, whereas the counter argument is that he has not demonstrated to do that in a year's worth of plate appearances in the majors yet. He might and probably will eventually, but he hasn't yet.

    If hitting .300 at each minor leaguer classifies as not hitting...then...I wish he could not hit as a 4th OF on the team. EDIT: I'm not saying I want him to make the team, but if you could guarantee me he was going to hit .300+ and have 30-40+ steals...

    I dont think too many people will disagree with you over the fact that Doyle was going to be an underwhelming move that was going to have little upside.
