  1. Per Doogie, Steer signs for $575,000 ($82,600 below slot). Sorry the tweet loads slow, it's because it has a video embedded
  2. Callis reporting that Legumina signs for $250K ($77K over slot). Mildly surprising that they had to go over slot for this one...
  3. I know it's all hypothetical, but it would be nice to see a potential package that the Twins would have to give up for each of these relievers as part of the write-up.
  4. IMO there's a zero percent chance of Washington doing that. I would think they'd want a package similar to the one you laid out for Syndergaard, probably even more than that..especially if you're making them eat 1/3 of the contract.
  5. Just for a visualization, basing it off the Miller tweet referenced in the article (6.25M this year, small raises each year and a $10M option for 2024), probably something like this. Disclaimer, this is my estimation and not the official numbers. 2019: $6,250,000 2020: $6,500,000 2021: $6,850,000 2022: $7,400,000 2023: $8,000,000 2024: $10,000,000 (with $1M buyout)
  6. Looks like I was a little heavy on the guaranteed money, ESPN is reporting 5 years, $25M guaranteed. http://www.espn.com.au/mlb/story/_/id/25995558/minnesota-twins-jorge-polanco-finalizing-seven-year-25-million-extension
  7. Posted this on the other thread, but will carry it over to here. I'm guessing something like 5 years, $31M, with a couple team options for 2025 and 2026 that could bring it to 7 years, $59M. Breaks down like this: 2020: $1,500,000 2021: $3,500,000 2022: $6,000,000 (last arb year) 2023: $9,000,000 2024: $11,000,000 2025: $13,000,000 (team option, $1M buyout) 2026: $15,000,000 (team option, $1M buyout)
  8. With an on-base percentage of .803, I'd think he should be on the Twins this year
  9. Sadly, this logic can be applied to many players with the election of Baines. Not to say Edgar doesn't deserve it, because I also believe he does.
  10. I don't think it's that black and white. You'd be banking on the Twins offering a QO and Dozier declining it. Not sure either of those would have been the case.
  11. Looks like a rough comparison in terms of Twins prospects would be: Pearson Balazovic Jean Carlos Arias
  12. Sadly Benninghoff didn't have the great outing that was stated. He actually gave up 5 hits and 4 runs in 3 innings.
  13. Rooker maybe, Lewis no chance, Kirilloff extremely doubtful, Gordon definitely, Navaretto possibly, Wade almost a certainty
  14. Might be a lazy comparison, but maybe he turns into a right handed Morneau, especially if he moves off catcher. At first I only thought it because he kind of resembles Morneau in his picture http://uncwsports.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5773, but then I remembered Morneau was drafted as a bat-first catcher and switched positions. They also have a similar size profile. Obviously this is a lofty goal given Morneau's status...but here's to hoping!
  15. 1 Brian Dozier 2B 2 Joe Mauer 1B 3 Miguel Sano 3B 4 Robbie Grossman DH 5 Byron Buxton CF 6 Max Kepler RF 7 Ryan LaMarre LF 8 Ehire Adrianza SS 9 Mitch Garver C
  16. I remember him mostly as the fat kid with the mullet that mashed bombs in the little league world series.
  17. That's fair, it was my initial snap judgment without looking at top 100 lists. I was more comparing the injured pitcher and OF (Kiriloff to Fowler and Jay to Kaprielian) and since the two injured Yankees are slightly higher regarded than the two injured Twins I thought maybe the difference between Gordon and Mateo would cover that difference. Sub Javier in for Gordon and it's a bit light from the Twins standpoint
  18. He does have kind of a cool delivery. Almost like he's in an old western and he's drawing his gun and firing it to the plate. http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?content_id=1043155583&sid=milb
