Not my plan necessarily, but a way to go: If there's an internal sense of discomfort with our current crop of prospects, why not trade them? Pick your favorites and part with the rest. As an example, if you're getting rid of Buxton, you could probably get a hefty return and dump one of your Hugheslasco contracts. Just an idea, be nice.
Yup. Also, meanwhile, Phil Hughes will be pitching in MLB with 500 people in the stands, because it's getting really really really hard to maintain interest.
Well, I guess Dean better get his bags packed, because he's one bad start away from Rochester now. I'm sorry everyone, I feel like I've been a bummer on here this morning, but I'm having a hard time with this. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Yeah, but I really don't know. These kids all won together in the lower ranks, though, and everyone went through Doug at some point. Ah well, I'm usually wrong anyway.
Torii was a critical link between the vets and the kids. I've never been in the Twins locker room, so I can't be sure of the culture therein. But what I do know is if the young guys and the old guys don't get along, you could wind up being the Minnesota Wild. And nobody wants that.
That's bunk. All he does is dominate in the minors. He's got nothing to gain by going down there. And up here, we've got a team that has nothing to lose. Let him take his lumps. It's got to happen some time.
As much as I wish that the Twins would do something like this, I'd prefer to see Doug M. get the chance to manage. And, I'm pretty sure there's a gentlemen's agreement in place there.
