  1. The Master of Space and Time. This is a shame. Look no further than Mad Dogs and Englishmen. His honkytonk cover of Girl from the North Country ought to get you started.
  2. This is not a valid comparison. Danny Valencia punched Billy Butler in the head. He was going to get traded at the first opportunity. Until Plouffy flips his lid and decides that he wants to clean Joe Mauer's clock, I don't think that Valencia's trade return is a very reliable benchmark.
  3. Well, that wreaked. I don't relly care what Deanne's ft stats are like. Thins showed zero confidence in his defense tonight and it was a failure and totally boring.lame.
  4. Follow up: my two cents, if I may... Symbolically, this is a major blow. Like a huge ugly blemish on our American experience and international appearance. But, we're truly no more stupid or racist as we ever were. Having a house and a senate and a president looking to turn the clock back is a pretty scary three-headed monster. But I dunno. I think we'll get through it. I have been a non-voter for years. That won't happen again. Surely there are plenty more like me to flip the switch of progress back on.
  5. THANK YOU!!!
  6. I think it would be foolish to overestimate them. I watched two of those wins and they weren't pretty. Last night with the kings was a slop fest.
  7. Saturday will be a real interesting game. Best defense versus one of the better offenses. It would be a serious confidence lift if they can squeak out a win against the Clippers.
  8. No!!!!!!!!
  9. I mainly agree. But, it's a little more complicated than that. If it's chili for chili's sake, then there needs to be some kind of bean in there. If it's chili for Coney Island hot dogs, no beans allowed.
  10. You will sorely regret trading Sano to a division rival. Especially for a slightly built SP with a ticking time bomb for an elbow. I would rethink that.
  11. I'm going to make a crap load of chili tomorrow and eat it all weekend. My secret's in the beans. Butterbeans and ceci. Way better than boring old kidney beans.
  12. For sure. Step in the right direction though. I feel more comfortable knowing that they're actually improved from beyond the arc, before they go chucking it all over the floor.
  13. Verrrrrryyy interesting...
  14. Well, two days ago I would have had something encouraging to say. Unfortunately, the very last lonely little shred of optimism I held onto passed away last night. KAT for president in 2020.
  15. Can anybody tell me what's the best bet for getting cheap T-Wolves tickets?
  16. I got news for you, Mike: everything is worse than sweetbreads.
  17. Oh- and this third quarter bull jive has got to end. I sure can't explain that nonsense.
  18. You guys are getting pretty bitter already. Not sure I'm there yet. To Mr. Brooks' point, most of the big buzz was on a national level. I think most of us who know these guys expected growing pains. I'm surprised OKC is rolling as well as they are, but I'm not shocked that the wolves are slow out of the gate. Particular considering that our floor master general hasn't played the last 3 games.
  19. Mascots is ok. Worth the time just to get reacquainted with our old friend, Corky St. Clair. There's no real magic, though, like with Guest's other movies. It's become pretty prefab/formulaic. Like a great tv show that runs for too many seasons.
  20. Ah. Gotcha. Not calling you out either btw. I was just shocked to learn of a direct artery between my two childhood homes.
  21. Pretty frustrating, these guys right now. Fellas passing on shot opportunities, forcing plays in the paint for no good reason. Watching GS/OKC right now and it's clear the wolves have quite a lot to learn, particularly with regard to using space on offense.
  22. Um...there's a road that connects LaCrosse to Waconia? Would have come in handy when I lived in Waconia and had to go to my dad's house in LaCrosse every other week.
  23. I see that bug in my house I'm gonna squash him.
  24. Jordan Hill...you may be excused.
