Heh ... and my apologies for the misspelling of Cruz ... I'm blaming it on autocorrect ... or ... fingers typing on their own!
  4. Squirrel
I hate them, too, unless everyone in the lineup hits one.
  5. Squirrel
Does anyone else think Nelson Cruz is one handsome dude?
  6. Squirrel
No, I got the point ... I'm talking about over all ... move on.
  7. Squirrel
Come on, you guys ... mute the TV and turn on the radio if Hawkins is so bad. We get it already. Move on.

    What was that?
  10. Squirrel
Yeah ... sees the lead and probably thinks he can ... I don't know ... just throw, Gibson!

I just want say ... after riding my bike to/from work just now ... it's really hot out there! I don't believe that 87 twinssporto put in the game thread opener.

Bombo! I've missed you in these here parts!
  13. Squirrel
I need to run to work ... sigh ... carry on!

Brock asked for a list of 3 from each of us ... is this your list of three?
  15. Squirrel
    Yes

Yeah, I miss being able to watch the Twins feed for things like this. I'll likely be able to catch it later, but living in Chicago the only option is the Sox feed. Which, interestingly, they talked to Nova about the game yesterday. He said that his approach was to be very aggressive 1-9, because every single one 1-9 can be explosive. Said that he tried to pitch out of the zone to see who would chase. Said, with this lineup, had to pitch really smart.

What's everyone having for lunch? I'm having me some White Sox tartar Okay, that sounded icky. I don't care. GO TWINS!!!!
  18. Squirrel
Yes ... give it a few innings first.
  19. Squirrel
Wow ... we already bounced the starter!

Okay, I've done some more thinking and more research, and have altered my 3 names. I like Sconnie and think he'd be good, but I don't see him as a strong participant in game threads, something Brock said we should be looking at. So ... here are my three suggestions (again, in no particular order) with two honorable mentions: Bighat SwainZag Hosken Bombo Disco Honorable mentions: amjgt howeda7 PDX Twin Nine of twelve Bighat and Swain were on my original list of 3 and they remain. I opted out Sconnie for Hosken. I know just a few posts ago I said I didn't think Hosken would be good, but after reading output in this forum, where he gets mentioned, it was always good ... and many posts by me. I think I was thinking of his response to the Dozier trade. The honorable mentions are just that. They participate in game threads, they've been mentioned here already, I see no reason not to consider them and would, but I like the three names I posted as better options. And I dropped GCTF. I like when he posts, but I think TN is right ... it's somewhat sporadic. But I think he has good snark, in the appropriate places, to the appropriate people à la snepp. But we need actual, consistent participants who will actually contribute to the moderation team.

Huh ... have you told us before you have this kind of insider information at your fingertips? Tell us more? Sorry about the sunburn ... been there, done that. Aloe with vitamin E ... good stuff to use.
  22. Squirrel
I would hope someone is giving him these instructions exactly. That said, I've opted to not go to the game today. I can't take it. Plus, eek, the heat is high today, depending on which online weather source you use, and the shady seats are the worst seats. imo.
  23. Squirrel
Well, he has close to 3000 posts which is more than a number of names being tossed about. But yeah ... over the course of membership? Dunno. And maybe I see his posts mostly in game threads.

Some of the conversations I've had with him, I just wonder about his ability to try and be objective. But he's not someone I would absolutely veto if all felt he would be good. I just have my reservations.

I think we couldn't agree with anyone, so we settled for you.
