  1. That doesn't imply any good body parts.
  2. Okay ... I protest the cleavaging comments unless you can come up with something equivalent for me. I'd suggest 'speedo-ing' but that's even too, uh, whatever, for me.
  3. ooou ... which thread? i'll go read it and add to the complaints
  4. sigh ... yes ... i went away to check on the laundry again ... wonder what would happen if i ran to the store?
  5. Jaysus ... go and put a load of wash in and they score a run??? I'm gonna have to stop doing laundry I guess.
  6. I keep reading that as Oliva. I can't help it.
  7. I hear Michelle Bachmann will be looking for a new job ...
  8. Passion is a good thing. And discussion is a great thing. But now it seems to have turned into a singular ... mission ... of one or two ... time to move on, imho.
  9. Damn ... always the also ran.
  10. heh ... I'm not quite as old as you ... gettin' there, though
  11. Well ... to be honest, I don't get a chance to read all the game threads through to compare properly ... oh blah .. there goes my signal ... crap EDIT: how come you can say crap here and not ****? i mean, technically, it's the same thing.
  12. heh ... you guys are funny tonight.
  13. I don't disagree with that, either. But I do think a change is necessary. I'm not on the 'worst manager ever' bandwagon, but I think his era is coming to a close, one way or another. It's just time. And the fact that he hasn't been extended already I think is a sign. My guess ... why give the job to someone new in a year when they knew it was still gonna be bad. So when they turn the corner (hopefully next year) it's with fresh skills. I think it's his last year unless lightning strikes.
  14. Settin' yourself up for some big hurt, aren't you? heh. Okay ... worse would be ... let's say they do get rid of Gardy ... and then give the job to .... <wait for it> .... Ulger! imo, that would be worse. But if they actually do fire Gardy, I'd hope it's a sign they have more sense than that.
  15. I'll be heading to the game on July 1st as I'll be passing through town on that day (and that day only). While I've been to Hammond Stadium many, MANY times, only for ST and not in the heat/humidity of the Florida summer. Is sitting up high 'cooler' (for potential of possible breeze) or does it really make no difference? What does parking cost in the summer? I would suppose just being a single there would be no trouble walking up and getting a ticket ... Thanks.
  16. Not that I don't agree, but will the Twins do it? I just don't think they will.
  17. heh ... as I said ... I couldn't relate. That's an experience I have never had and never will, thanks to not having that particular 'achilles heel' anatomy.
  18. I couldn't really tell ... where exactly did that hit him? If it's where I think, I can't relate.
  19. But isn't this pretty much what we expected before the season started? I recall many saying they'd be 'happy' if the Twins finished .500. While watching some of these games is NOT fun (an understatement) did any of you truly, really, in general, expect better?
  20. I have unfortunate timing as to when I tune into a game.
  21. Finally had a minute to sit down and tune into the game. Not a good minute.
  22. Pfft ... he already knows I'd vote for him if he ran for office despite his skeletons ... even though I'm a bleeding heart. I just think he's pretty fair.
  23. Actually, he has. As a moderator/administrator of this site, and dealing with all the variant personalities and discussions, I think he's led a pretty good example of being fair and open-minded, and given quite a bit of leeway when others wanted to take a more 'prudish' route. Not that he needs me to speak for him, just saying, from one who reads quite a bit here.
  24. Case in point ... the 'new' Soldier Field, which is 'across the street' from me. Thankfully I face the other way.
