  1. You are correct. One great month, one mediocre month and one terrifically horrible month does not a playoff team make...not even these days
  2. With all the talk about flags these days...here's one the twins can use for the remainder of this once promising season...
  3. Perhaps, but a month long lack of offense and similar shoddy bullpen work is threatening to derail a promising season. Better days are ahead, but these things need to be remedied soon if we hope to continue to compete this year.
  4. Once again the Twins have a chance to build on a little bit of success and they yet again fall flat on their face, against a lowly opponent nonetheless. Perhaps they have another run in them some month down the line, but not looking good right now. The thrill is gone, as they say.
  5. How...do you take a pitch like that with two strikes. Jesus.
  6. Who would've thought that second two run homer in the 8th would come back to bite us?
  7. Now that our bullpen has been found out to be complete frauds and the offense has been in a month long coma, it's astonishing that the twins won 20 games in May. Getting handled by the 2nd worst club in the league 4 out of 6 times is quite telling. Like ol' Denny Green said, "they are who we thought they were"
  8. Unfortunately it seems like some of our surprise relievers have reverted back to their career norm.
  9. What will sink the twins first, the inability to consistently score three or more runs, or the inability of any reliever not named Perkins to pitch in a tight game?
  10. Brutal brutal bullpen work.
  11. And now the comedy routine starts. Very disappointed in how the bullpen has performed in recent close games. Last nights game was another that should have been a springboard, but here we are again playing sluggishly.
  12. Well it's been a fun ride. Thought we had it turned around. Offense just won't click consistently and the bullpen is running out of reliable arms. We're getting worked at home far too often.
  13. His slide seemed to start when the offense went awol. If the twins don't find a consistent offense before the ASB, it's a done deal folks.
  14. Arrieta won't, but he should go the distance. We aren't making a peep.
  15. What a brutal offensive inning that was. Esp for the top of the order
  16. Remember that time the twins had an offense that could get on base once in a while? That was pretty cool. How much lower will buxtons BA drop until he gets a game off?
  17. Oof. Awful tenth inning. Too many missed chances. I was disappointed we didn't bunt with buxton on first in the 8th. Head scratcher.
  18. Yep, sure didn't think we'd win both games here. Could be a slump buster.
  19. I guess I haven't seen enough of Vargas! Let me get this egg off my face...
  20. Wow. Shocked we didn't IBB either Reynolds or Peralta. How often does that work out?
  21. I've seen about enough of Kenys.
  22. Really nice win for the twins. Have to appreciate the staff holding the cards to 7 runs in 3 games. Great game for Rosario, milone and Nunez. Important win with kc and det winning.
  23. Nunez making a case to be an everyday player. Really like Rosario
  24. Could be. Just doesn't seem comfortable. Mauer, again.
