  1. Yay sano!!! Perkins' heart just went THUMP.
  2. The game ended later last night than a twins home game (I'm on the east coast). This one is getting there too. Nice AB for joe
  3. They do play the slowest, most boring games in the league.
  4. Inherited runners/scored: 2/0 Whaaaaaa?
  5. Oh how the bar has slipped if it takes you over 100 pitches to get 16 outs to be considered pretty good.
  6. Maybe could we get over the hill Beltran out just once? You know you're old if I remember playing against you in Triple Play Baseball for play station 2 back in 2002. I'm looking at you too torii.
  7. I think it has something to do with watching our SS boot a tailor made DP and then throw to first with nobody out in an extra inning game last night. I just speak for me though.
  8. Who would have thought that, after the Yankees blew through their pen last night, that fatty sabathia would be under 85 pitches through 6? Oh, everyone would have thought that? Oh, ok.
  9. This bird fella is absolutely killing us.
  10. Well, at least that gave the Yankees broadcast a chance to show a jeter relay in the 2000 World Series.
  11. Escobar wasn't even halfway when gregorius caught the relay..
  12. Pelfrey needs a shutdown inning. and by that I mean keeping it under 30 pitches.
  13. For gods sake, why send him? Wasn't even close.
  14. Finally! Now we can lose meekly, but not historically, per the norm.
  15. Hunter is stinking up the joint.
  16. There goes the PG. I thank heavens I won't have to watch replays of another slovenly pitcher drop to his knees in elation against our guys.
  17. No. No...I can't take another no hitter/perfect game against the Yankees. I live in pennsylvania and I distinctly remember 10 year old me listening to David wells throw his PG. I simply cannot take more embarrassment at the hands of these guys. I won't watch another game all year.
  18. The twins let the terrorists win.
  19. Well, the last time it happened before then was 1992. Two season series wins in 23 years. There isn't really a sports term to describe that kind of domination. Maybe owning?
  20. The twins haven't won a season series against the Yankees since 2001. Let that sink deep into your skull.
  21. I wish the twins could just simulate these games against the Yankees and skip ahead to their next game. They are so utterly pathetic against NY that it pains me to even watch. Their struggles against the Yankees in the last 12 or so years are a pretty telling reason why this team hasn't accomplished jack squat since half our lineup was in diapers, despite having decent clubs. They are mentally weak, no matter how good or bad the Yankees are. They will continue to accomplish nothing so long as they can't hang with teams between the ears. Change of managers, change of rosters. Doesn't matter. I wouldn't put this Yankees team in the top 5 yankee clubs of the last 10 years. Maybe not even top 7. But it doesn't matter. They'll probably get swept this series, and if they're lucky, they won't lose on another walk off.
  22. 3 runners caught stealing. Gibson allowed to start the 6th. Perkins brought in. Not a great night for our new manager.
  23. With that, the twins drop to 5-175 in their last 180 against the Yankees.
  24. You have to laugh. That's so us.
